After finishing her training in the USA, she worked at the State University of New York Hospital & School of Medicine, Stony Brook; and the University of Maryland Hospital & School of Medicine, Baltimore as an attending neonatologist and associate professor of pediatrics before joining Nassau University Medical Center. She has published over 90 peer reviewed manuscripts and abstracts and has presented results of her research at various national and international meetings. She serves on the editorial board and is a manuscript peer reviewer for several national and international journals. She is a member of the Neonatal- Perinatal, Critical Care and Epidemiology subcommittees of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has participated as an invited peer reviewer for several protocols of AAP in that capacity.
